FOX TO COMMUTE
OVER AIR LINE
-------------------
Comedian Engages Passage
With Burnside When Mc-
Kinneys Road Is Closed
-------------------
When he heard the other day that
the road from Renwick to McKinneys,
on the East Shore of the lake, is to
beclosed for permanent improvement.
Harry Fox, the motion picture comedian
who is playing lead with Grace Darling
in the "Beatrice Fairfax" picture,
produced by Wharton Inc., and who
recently rented the Dr. John Kirkendall
cottage at McKinneys, began to worry.
"How am I going to get to and from
the studio?" Fox excitedly asked.
Fox drives a big red racing car and by
means of this he and his companions
have been able to enjoy the cottage
life, take their meals uptown and keep
scheduled hours at the studio.
A few mornings ago as he was taking
his early morning dip in the lake,
Mr. Fox was still pondering the 'closed
road problem.' There was a bur-r-r
overhead, followed by the silencing of
the motor, a graceful descent of a big
hydro-aeroplane, a swish through the
water and Frank Burnside of the
Thomas Brothers Aeroplane company
came alongside the dock with a
cheerful "Good Morning, Harry."
Fox and Burnside have formed a
mutual admiration for the other's
work, and although Burnside
probably will not enter the picture
game except as an aviator, Fox
declares his admiration for flying will
result in his taking a course at the
Thomas School.
The aviator noticed the unwonted
troubled expression on the comedian's face.
"What are you crying about this morning?"
inquired Burnside. fox told his troubles
over the road problem.
"Oh, we'll fix that all right," exclaimed Burnside.
"I'll just drop in on you like this every morning
and take you to the studio."
Fox accepted and thus it was arranged that
when the road is closed to traffic the comedian
will go to work in a flying machine.
Fox is now hoping the improvement of the
road will soon be begun.
